. The first six photos in this gallery were taken from the shore of beautiful Watson Lake, located
just outside the city of Prescott, in central   Arizona. Further down the page is a shot of
Mingus Lake, located high in the Mingus Mountains, seen here with the brilliant colors of Fall
reflecting off of its partially frozen surface.  Following that are a few shots of the historic
town of Jerome, at one time a bustling mining town that was home to some 15,000 residents. With
the closing of the mines, the population quickly  dropped down to just 100 residents in only a
year's time. In the 1960's, the ghost town was discovered by the youth counterculture and became a
hippie commune. Today, the town is primarily  tourist oriented, and is home to the Jerome
Historical Society Museum, which formerly served as the mineowner's private estate. The last two
photos were taken in Sedona, just beyond which  lies two of Arizona's most scenic attractions --
the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. Unfortunately, we didn't make it that far this trip, but
hope to get there soon to take in some of  America's most dazzling natural wonders.
