Ireland and Maui
About the images
in this gallery: all the images in this gallery were scanned
from original
photographs taken in Ireland and Maui during
brief stays in the summers of 1994 and 1992. All
were exposed on Kodak Ektar 35MM color print film, 100 ASA &
25 ASA. No digital manipulations
were made on these images. All photos were taken hand-held. The
enlarged images are approximately
70 KB and will display at about 900x600 pixels.

Lough
Corrib, on the west coast of Ireland, as viewed from the grounds of Ashford
Castle.
A personal favorite, this shot was taken 
on the grounds of Dromoland Castle.
Another view of the beautiful Lough
Corrib, this one taken from a window of the castle. 
This bridge is another of the many picturesque 
scenes on the grounds of Ashford Castle.
The majestic Cliffs of Moher on the west coast tower hundreds of feet above
the ocean.
This fountain graces the grounds of 
Dromoland Castle, which now serves
as a luxury hotel, as does Ashford
Castle -- seen here from the back (Lough Corrib) side. 
This shot, the first of the Maui photos, was 
taken at "Big Beach" on the western shore.
This
waterfall, one of many on the Hana Coast, is accessible by a short and
scenic hike through
bamboo forests which first takes you by 
this smaller waterfall and warning sign.
A sunset provides a nice backdrop
for the nightly Luau held on the beach at Lahaina. 
This sunset was shot from a hotel balcony 
on resort-infested Kaanapali Beach.
Scenic Lahaina, an historic whaling town, as seen from an offshore tour
boat. These
last three photos were taken on the 
legendary road to Hana on the east coast.
The two waterfalls
are visible from the road. Beautiful coastline views can be had from the
road 
as well, though this red sand beach requires 
locating a secret trailhead in Hana. Good Luck!
